Rahim is an American Storyteller.
Born and raised on the east side Buffalo in the Central Park neighborhood. Football became his first love but Hip Hop was next. He later started writing rhymes to be humorous as a way to crack jokes on people, Rahim explains, “once I was destroyed in a rap battle, I began to take the craft more serious vowing to never be played again. My subject matter became more serious as well as the realities of hood life started to overwhelm me.”
He also began to embrace his Islamic roots that most of his family had abandoned. The injustices of this world have always sparked his lyrics. Music was always an influence Rahim states, “My father’s large album collection opened my ears to many great artists and music that I typically wouldn’t have listened to while growing up in the golden era of Hip Hop.”
Through Hip Hop he continues to ride for the people while exposing a mirror of himself as well as the world he sees.
